Coronavirus information.

So what you need to know in this time of crisis is that Hammockology is still in business, although you won't find us at any events in the near future, we are absolutely operating as normal for the online side of the business. We are experiencing the highest volume of sales seen in 18 years online and it's taken a while but we now have pretty good stock levels so can dispatch most stuff quickly. the good news for you shoppers is that our suppliers have stock  and crucially, all our suppliers around Europe are reporting that they are still dispatching from their warehouses. However, delivery times are impacted firstly because of volume (seems everybody in the world needs a hammock in a lockdown) and secondly because warehouse staff have to socially distance, which slows them down. We can usually expect European deliveries to arrive to us in 4 to 5 days, it currently seems to be more like a week and a half for our most important suppliers.

Fastway couriers, like all delivery companies at the moment are experiencing huge demand on their services and it is much busier even than Christmas for them. Because of this our regular driver cannot always fit all the big stands into his van when he collects in the mornings. So, we have come to the arrangement that all small items (hammocks, chairs, accessories etc) will leave daily in the mornings and all large items (stands, Globos etc) will leave on Tuesdays and Fridays. Sometimes this will mean that your items will arrive on different days.

Of course, during these times things change quickly but rest assured that if there is any reason we can't get your order to you in good time then we will let you know and offer you a refund, credit or alternative product.

Hammockology may not be the most essential of essential businesses but we believe there are worse ways of being self isolated than in a hammock so we will do our bit as best we can. Stay well. x

At Hammockology we know that when you buy online you want that item in your hands right there and then. That's not possible of course, but, we'll do our very best to get your purchase to you asap. When your order comes in we will get it out to you at the earliest opportunity.

We also know that by shopping online you expect to get your goods at a competitive price, what you don't want is to see your savings wiped out by extortionate delivery charges. We now have a reduced delivery charge for all addresses in the Republic Ireland, just €5 no matter how many items you order.

Orders of large items like the wooden stands often qualify for free shipping. See individual products for details.

For most items we use Fastway couriers, a large international company with all the modern computerized tracking facilities you would expect. Within the island of Ireland they will deliver to your door on a one to two day service. Occasionally when an item is out of stock we may have it sent direct to you from our suppliers, this is usually with very large items outside of the summer months. See the "Delivery Info" tab on the individual product listing for details. Delivery of these items is generally within the week.

UK delivery is possible and generally takes 3 to 4 working days. Most items will cost you no more than €12 for courier delivery but you'll see the charge before payment.

You can have your purchase delivered to any address that is convenient, your workplace or a neighbours' if you like. Fastway deliver between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday. Please enter a daytime or mobile phone number when ordering as the couriers will generally call first to ensure you are in.

Saturday deliveries are sometimes possible but horrendously expensive. Call us for a quote if you absolutely have to.

Most items are kept in stock permanently and the website is constantly updated to let you know if we are temporarily out of stock. You will be contacted promptly if the product you ordered cannot be dispatched in good time. You have the option of a refund or change of product if you do not want to wait.

We know that getting your order delivered on the 4th of January is less than ideal if it was meant to be a Christmas present. Read the following and nobody should be giving you dirty looks across the table during Christmas lunch.

Firstly, everything you can read about in the delivery section still counts but busy couriers sometimes take a day longer than usual.

Most items are kept permanently in stock and we try very hard to get them out of here for you the same or next working day. Because of the quick turnover of stock at this time of year if we get caught on the hop by an item being sold out you will be informed promptly and offered to change of item or a refund Most products are sent with Fastway couriers and will be delivered within 2 working days in Ireland (inc N.I.). Last day of collection for these items is Tuesday 17th of December. May we suggest that if are going to order on the 17th you call first to ensure that it can leave that day. Fastway will continue to make deliveries right up to Christmas eve in order to clear any backlog. There are further deliveries just after Christmas and then things get back to normal on the 6th of January.

Small items are sent by An Post who are naturally very busy at this time of year so add an extra day or two for safety.

UK customers. Please allow 5 working days for delivery of your order.

Oh, and a very Merry Christmas to you all!
